AMC AMX Javelin Jeep & others V-8 oil pick up, (oil sump). mid model. This was cleaned and dipped at American Metal cleaning in Portland Oregon. This is the second generation AMC made to my knowledge. You can tell by the pick up tube does not go down to the bottom of the sump, and the screen has a hole in the center of it just below the pickup. That hole is close to the bottom of the pickup. So as the screen gets plugged the suction picks up on the screen and lets unscreened oil through. It is very important that your motor assembler when cleaning this style do’s not push up, or blow up on the screen or you will get unscreened oil to your pump.I have more than one of these in my inventory so you may not get this exact part, but you will get one of equal value.
