AMC 304 V-8, 988 transmission case. I am not a tranny guy, but I am calling this a 988 because it has the two support webbings coming from the case to the rear servo housing, (SEE PIC’s). That means it’s from a V-8 application. Your 904, 6 cylinder cases only have one web. If you do not agree with that statement and you are looking for a 988, then don’t buy it! I could be wrong, as stated, I am not a tranny guy.
