AMC SS AMX Javelin & others hi-performance nostalgic oil pump cap. I put this under used, the pressure valve,(spool), & spring, spring cap, & compression washer are used. The casting I think is new. It is put together for sale purposes, it is assembled DRY! It will have to come apart and be lubed before re-assembled. The advantage to this part is several things, you get rid of some unnecessary turbulent oil passage bends and turns that matter most on startups when there are air pockets in the passages. The pressure relief valve stem, (stop). is on the backside of the oils path instead of directly in the path like any thing stock. You can mount your oil filter any where & upright before returning back to the block. And IF YOU WANT you can return the oil to the block at the oil sending unit port. ( For this mod you need to tap and plug the return hole in the front of the block ). I ran one of this similar in the 80’s and it said Trico on it, but this is unmarked. There are better things out there now for balls out competition, but a lot more expensive. And for balls out there are other oil modes that should be put to task. This is still a good part for a heavy bracket streetcar or an ET drag car.
